The 1927 Console/Desk is an Art Deco inspired design that is reminiscent of the early works of Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann. The elegant slant leg design and unique miter fold veneer pattern that cascades from the top to the apron and legs is done with striking effect.
The pencil drawer that has been mitered into the apron has been crafted with such precision that it appears to be invisible when closed, since the top edge of the drawer is also mitered to the underside of the apron.
The leather inset top is offset from the Macassar Ebony border by means of a subtle inlay of Holly wood that that has been finished to resemble ivory.
The sabot feet are optional.
Custom sizes and alternative woods and finishes are available.
