Digitaria/Blue Star Credenza
Wood, Glass and Stainless Steel
72" x 22-1/2" x 34-5/8" high
The Digitaria/Blue Star began as an experiment to create a cabinet that was completely covered in multi-faceted surfaces, in much the same way as a precision cut diamond. The main cabinet was crafted from FSC certified maple ply that has been finished satin black. The cabinet interior is natural maple. A piece of bevelled black glass is set into the top, with the base being made from polished stainless steel.
The back is fully finished and has an inlaid silhouette of the Great Pyramids of Giza, as shown under the ascending constellation of Orion with the star Sirius.
The 4 interior drawers are made of dovetailed solid maple running on touch activated linear ball bearing slides.
The Digitaria/Blue Star was designed by John Wiggers.
